Your guide to Vallarta Pride 2022

May is Pride month in Puerto Vallarta and is one of the largest pride celebrations in all of Mexico, taking place the week of May 23to 30, 2022. Boasting to be one of the friendliest cities globally, Vallarta has celebrated Pride since 2013 and takes Pride in its inclusivity and diversity.

Considered the gayest city in Mexico, with over 34% of its tourists being LGBT, last year’s Pride celebrations, despite the world pandemic, over 16000 people visited. This year’s festival expects larger crowds with more prominent and different events to entice everyone’s tastes.

So what events should you attend this Vallarta Pride? It can be overwhelming to decide what to participate in with many options. Here is a rundown of our top events to follow for Vallarta Pride 2022 before and after the parade is over.

Commence the festivities with the official “kick-off” party at The Top Sky Bar. The Pink Dinner, organized by Almar Group, is a fundraiser with 50% of ticket sales going to DIF, an organization supporting family welfare development in the community. The evening includes an exquisite four-course meal, performances from Valentina of RuPaul’s DragRace, and Brian Justin Crum from Americas got Talent. It will be a fantastic evening with a killer after-party for a terrific cause.

May 26 brings a full day, including one of the most important, the Pride Parade. Join various local businesses as they strut their stuff, starting at the Sheraton hotel, heading down the Malecon, and ending in Zona Romantica.

An epic event that goes from casual daytime to a wild nighttime party with drinks, vendors, DJs, and world-class celebrities, including the chart-topping diva ULTRA NATÉ.

Suppose you are looking for something a little more risque and want something to do during the day. In that case, Jet’s Naked Beach Tours is coming back for three days of Naked Beach Parties on May 27, 28, and 29th, which will knock your socks off literally. The tour is set on a stunning secluded beach south of Puerto Vallarta. This clothing-optional tour for men only includes an open bar and delicious snacks while exploring the coast, socializing, and playing games on the beach. This event sells out every year, so make sure you get your tickets early.

We would not miss Vallarta’s Pride Sunset Cruise. An extraordinary collaboration between Jet of Jet‘s Private Boat Tours and Chef Roman Ventura of Ventura Chef Services, the first of a planned annual pride celebration of gourmet food, premium cocktails, and world-class entertainment all aboard a giant luxury catamaran.

The concert venue is unique and stunning on Camarones Beach in downtown Puerto Vallarta. Behind the stage, a fantastic view of The Bay of Banderas is the perfect setting to dance the night away.

Finally, the Annual Pulpito Drag Derby is on Saturday, May 28. With cash prizes and a chance to compete in Denver, Colorado, for the Drag Derby Finals, this annual race takes over the stairs at The Pinnacle and Calle Pulpito. The Drag Race Track becomes a giant block party with entertainment, drinks, and fun!
